Hi (: your hair type is very similar to mine, Iโve been searching for something to help it look more like your after picture, could you please tell me more about the products you use or what the curly girl method is?
Hi! If you google the curly girl method tons of info will come up. Itโs a more natural method of haircare for those with wavy or curly hair, designed to moisturize it and strenghten it, and to enhance curls. It includes choosing products that are free from harsh sulfates, silicones, drying alcoholics, etc. It also includes something called โsquish to condishโ which is a method of kind of squeezing water into your hair while conditioning. It also means no brushing your hair, or using a comb (Except in the shower).
Right now my normal routine is to use Not Your Motherโs Natural shampoo, then GVP conditioning balm as a rinse-out conditioner, then as i a leave-in conditioner as a leave-in conditioner, then LA looks gel. I use a diffuser (an attachment on my blowdryer) to dry my hair without damaging it too much.
The subreddit forum https://reddit.com/r/curlyhair/ is almost exclusively people who follow the curly girl method itโs a great place to start reading a bit more and to ask questions. ๐
I see comments saying that your hair isnโt curlyโฆ your hair CLEARLY has a wave pattern to it. We all need to train our hair to a degree and work with our natural pattern. Just because someone doesnโt have ringlets right away doesnโt mean they donโt have a wave/curl texture to their hair. Geesh. Progress is progress and youโre doing great!

Your hair is not curly cis
Iโm not sure your hair is curly. Maybe 2a, unless it has gotten curlier since.
